Grammar Help! Present tense?

In order to know exactly what is going on, it is necessary for someone to look at the whole section of the resume, not just parts of the sentences. There are a couple of reasons for this. Besides the need to have the correct tense (and you are wise to be cautious), there is also a need to be "parallel," which means that the statements should have the same form. It would be wrong, for example, to write a sentence like "I hate dancing, swimming, and to play basketball." ("To play basketball" is not "parallel" because it is the only one which does not end in "ing.") The statements in your resume should all look alike. Another concern is grammatical form. Something which is going on at the moment has two verbs in English -- the verb "to be" and an "ing" verb. Perhaps the statement should be "I am currently instructing and isting ..." In order to be absolutely sure you have done it correctly, you need someone who is an expert in English forms to look over the doent.
