Mother-daughter angst...any recommended readings to heal such hurts brought on by lifetime of this angst.?

A lifetime of stressed out with this angst, both of us still living and in angst, I feel older than my mom and she's 88! Letting Yahoo pick a category for my query -- any fiction too that might really lend some healing or light ... reading now "Women who run with Wolves" Excellent and insightful - but reading it a bit late to fix what's gone on before -- so any help tol what's left of this devastated relationship, I'd appreciate any positive input. I know this is not revealing a lot - but the only relevant matter I believe is the "angst" - no better word -- it rhymes with anxiety - and I feel I been in that my whole life as regards my relationship with her -- I'm an only child too, not my choice - she's an isolationist, I'm a populist -- we're different end to end -- I allowed her to domineer me, now I'm in a newfound rebellion, trying to heal now from my volcanic temper outbursts of late .... any help with literature or consolation would be appreciated greatly.
