Engine tapping noise?

lol..ur friend is smoking crack..... lifter tick when there are going bad or dirty...also if ur rockers are lose it can cause a tick...exhaust leak can cause a tick..but if u got a deffinate metal sound coming from the bottom of ur motor..its toast.. means there is either something in there that dont belong..which occationally happens..if some one drops something small enough in the motor to fall all they way down...but not likely. ... i wld say u got a rod knock...and ur bottom end is about to explode and may send a rod through the side of the block..or up through a piston or something..
